Lobster ME, home to the Lobsicle, a fried lobster tail on a stick, is expanding to the The Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian. First debuted in August 2011 at the Miracle Mile Shops, their second location will replace a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf take-out spot located opposite a Sin City Brewing Co. outpost. The caffeine will continue to be served up at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf 's larger sibling a few yards away in the food court area.

Both the coffee and seafood ventures are run by the LEV Restaurant Group, creators of Jamba Juice, Daily Kitchen & Wellness Bar and I Love Burgers. The second Lobster ME site will fill 1,984 square feet and $350,000 has been estimated for construction.

Currently, the Tea Leaf remains in business, but LEV estimates a spring debut for the new store to begin serving up "Maine Style" chilled lobster rolls, lobster mac & cheese and clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. The Miracle Mile spot also takes advantage of its 10 a.m. opening hour, offering a popular lobster & waffles breakfast creation.
