The Hakkasan Group mothership has bought out Las Vegas-based nightlife and entertainment company Angel Management Group in an acquisition announced this morning. Angel Management Group manages venues such as Hakkasan at the MGM Grand, Pure Nightclub at Caesars Palace, Wet Republic Ultra Pool at the MGM Grand and Social House at The Shops at Crystals as well as HQ Beach Club and HQ Nightclub at Revel in Atlantic City.
Recently, Hakkasan acquired Enlightened Hospitality Group, the parent company of San Diego nightclub Stingaree and Top Chef: Miami alum Brian Malarkey's restaurant consortium that includes Searsucker locations in San Diego, Del Mar and Austin and Herringbone in San Diego and LA. Hakkasan Shanghai will open in early 2014.
Hakkasan's near future plans include expansion of the restaurant into new markets as well as new unnamed concepts.
Neil Moffitt, the founder and CEO of Angel Management Group and current CEO of Hakkasan Group and HKK Hospitality Limited, will lead that charge. Also cropping up under his responsibilities, a hotel division. Nick McCabe, the former vice president of strategy for Angel Management Group, will become the president of Hakkasan Group, and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations.
