Last October, Onda Ristorante at the Mirage landed a new chef in Michael LaPlaca. Now the restaurant has a new name — Portofino. Back in October, he added dishes such as an arancini "crab cake," snapper en cartoccio baked in a paper bag and burrata agnolotti with lobster, corn butter and chanterelles.
On Facebook, LaPlaca wrote: "Today is the last day of Onda Ristorante. After the doors close tonight... It's over. We ended stronger than ever and now we are ready to start a new beginning as Portofino. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something... like you have never experienced before."
Developing.
