Get your best Patrick Swayze impression ready to roll. SBE's Double Barrel Roadhouse now says it will make its rowdy arrival on the Strip on March 7, making it the first restaurant to open on the Monte Carlo's new plaza.
Inside, an unbridled live music and entertainment venue taking up 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space over two levels designed by Mark Zeff. On the menu, expect to find craft cocktails and beers and a Southern-inspired menu.
Double Barrel isn't messing around with the food. The restaurant tapped former Circo executive chef Michael Vitangeli to create the Southern menu with big flavors. Some of the dishes include the crispy smokey chicken wings, mini corn dogs, corn chowder and crispy meatloaf served with sweet bacon-laced ketchup. House specialties include "Not Your Mama's Chicken Pot Pie" and New Orleans shrimp and grits. An oversized wood burning grill is used to create dishes such as the 24-ounce cowboy steak and the slow-cooked crackling pork Shank brushed with a bourbon glaze.
The dessert menu features "Pie in a Jar," a generous slice served in a Mason jar a la mode, and deep-fried S'mores, a graham cracker sandwich filled with marshmallow and chocolate, and battered, deep fried and dusted with powdered sugar.
Signature drinks include the Kiwi Collins, and the Double Barrel Spiked Ice Tea. Double Barrel will also serve up handcrafted, homemade wine coolers made on sight and presented in Mason jars. Approachable bottle service experiences will be available at tables throughout the space.
Double Barrel will feature live music and an interactive staff, including the "DB girls," who offer custom "bar rituals" and live performances on the elevated catwalks surrounding the bars.
