The Critics

Eating Las Vegas' John Curtas recounts being accosted by a chef at an unnamed restaurant. "You've written three fucking articles calling this the worst restaurant in town, so I want to know if you came in just to slam me again?" the chef shouted at Curtas after his food was served. Curtas suggests that restaurants that don't want a critic to dine there should either deny service or "ask to speak with him (out of the presence of other diners) after he's finished. Then, behind closed doors or on the sidewalk, anything short of fisticuffs is okay. Any critic who can't take an irate chef or owner screaming at him ought to find another line of work." [Eating LV]
