Social Life Pizza has arrived on the Strip with its 900 degrees pizza oven, Italian Double Zero flour and the option of a cannoli pizza dessert. Located in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian food court, the bright, 1,369-square-foot corner spot replaces the shuttered L.A. Italian Kitchen.
This is only the second location for the San Diego-based company with big expansion plans. The compact menu includes three Neapolitan pizzas with a choice of cheese, margherita or "Veg Life" priced between $10 and $12. Their Italian flour undergoes a 48-hour fermentation process to create a crispy crust "with a perfect chew and slight char." Guests can choose to create their own pizza with toppings like prosciutto, anchovies or a fresh egg. Other pizza options listed are Greek, luau, carne, barbecue chicken and porco blanco.
Pasta dishes include lasagne, baked ziti and meatballs marinara. A selection of salads round out the entrees. For dessert, the $9 cannoli pizza is created with sweet ricotta cheese, chocolate sauce, powdered sugar and maraschino cherries. The cinno-o'sweet pizza is built with cinnamon sugar topped with house made vanilla cream sauce.
