Here's a sign that didn't work. Fox 5 reports that Blind Tiger Bar & Grill put up a sign on the marquee outside that said, "Broncos couldnt [sic] beat the kids at St Judes." That enraged one parent whose 3-year-old daughter has stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer. "I said, 'I just wanted to let you know that my daughter has neuroblastoma cancer. It's got a 50-50 shot of killing her, and what was on that sign was just soulless,'" Moore tells the station.
Since, other outraged Las Vegans have taken to the bar's Facebook page posting dozens negative comments. "Obviously, too much consumption of alcohol has killed many, many brain cells of the person or persons who thought that it was a good idea to make the sick children of St. Jude the punch line to a HORRIBLE BAD JOKE," Catrina Simmons Jones wrote.
Hey Blind Tiger! I just wanted to give you a little peace of mind and let you know that I'm not bothered by that sign you guys put up. You see, a lot of people are probably bothered by it because they want to make you regret it. They want revenge for the hurt you caused them with your insensitivity. I don't. You know why? Because now I get to kick back and watch you struggle. Your business is literally crumbling around you. Look at all these posts! The whole city hates your guts and wouldn't be caught dead in your bar. Might as well sell the place now. IDEA! You could donate the cash to St. Jude's and redeem a small, sad shred of your dignity! And I'll gladly take the booze off your hands ;) Just a thought. Well, anyways, have fun dealing with this mess you've created! See you never. Love always, A girl who used to be one of those "sick kids at St. Jude's," writes Alexa Walker.
Staff at the Blind Tiger say the racy jokes have been a trademark of the bar, often bringing in new customers. The sign was removed and now says, "We fired the sign guy."
