A Weekend Whiskey Festival; Olympics Specials

GOLDEN NUGGET — The American Craft Distillers Festival goes all weekend with whiskey, rye, bourbon, vodka, gin and moonshine. The event starts tonight from 7 to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. with the Grand Tasting Experience hosted by Masters of Whiskey Kevin Loser, Sean O'Rourke and Dr. Thomas Turner. Guests will be able to sample tastings of artisan whiskies and barrel aged barley beers throughout the timeframe for $49 per day. On Sunday at 6 p.m., a Turn of the Century Whiskey Dinner hosted by a Jack Daniel's Whiskey Ambassador will feature courses including braised beef short rib ravioli, mesquite smoked whiskey glazed spare ribs and a New York strip steak grilled over Jack Daniel's oak chips for $85.
