Portofino's New Dishes; Village Square Arts, Eats & Beats

MIRAGEPortofino, formerly Onda, now has new menu items inspired by land and sea as well as varieties of fresh pasta made in-house daily. "Crab Cake" arancini, meatballs made with fried squash blossoms, goat cheese and San Marzano tomatoes, burrata agnolotti with lobster, chanterelle mushrooms and roasted corn butter and tiramisu all make the menu now on Thursdays through Mondays from 5 to 10 p.m. [EaterWire]

VILLAGE SQUARE — The shopping center hosts its second annual Arts, Eats & Beats Art Walk Weekend March 29-30 benefiting Three Square Food Bank. The event from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. features dishes from 808 Tapas, Chicago Brewing Co., Viva Mercado's Mexican Bar & Grill, Cold Stone Creamery, Rocket Fizz, The Lion's Tail Tavern, Rubio's, Avery's Coffee and Tropical Smoothie. Eats passports may be purchased for $25 and include pre-set food, drinks and treats provided by participating businesses.
