The Southern Nevada Health District shut down Yolie's Brazilian Steak House at 3900 Paradise Road on Feb. 28 after a re-inspection.

An initial inspection on Feb. 11 revealed 30 demerits, a C grade. The re-inspection found spoiled food and food unprotected from contamination among the violations.

Previous inspections since 1999 have resulted in a mixed bag of grades from an A grade up to 40 demerits in 2008, one point away from shut down.

The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
