Get excited. For the third time, White Castle returns to Las Vegas via the Las Vegas Foodie Fest, coming to a new location Thursday, April 24, through Sunday, April 27. Instead of taking over the parking lot at the Silverton, the food festival featuring dozens of food trucks lands at The Lot across from the Luxor.
Look for local favorites such as Fukuburger, Sin City Dogs, Dragon Grille and Wa Da Pho to show up along with White Rabbit and Bacon Mania from California and Lobster Lady from Maine. More than 15 new trucks and vendors make their debut at the event.
Of course, White Castle, which still can't make a commitment to a permanent location in Vegas, returns with separate lines for those who want to buy more than 30 or less than 30 sliders. The first visit from the East Coast slider joint cause lines up to four hours long. They're last visit saw a much more streamlined approach to ordering.
Also on tap, unannounced chefs and restaurants from MGM Resorts also with samples from PepsiCo. Jabbawockeez plan a live performance while entertainment ranges from carnival rides, games to an eating competition and a silent auction.
The event stretches from 4 p.m. to midnight Thursday and Friday, noon to midnight on Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets go for $10 per person starting the week of the event or $8 if purchased in advance online at www.lasvegasfoodiefest.com. Active military personnel and veterans, seniors 59 and older and Clark County first responders may purchase tickets at the gate for $8 with a valid ID. All tickets include unlimited re-entry for the four-day event. Individual food and drink items are priced per purchase.
Those who want to go VIP can pay $50 per day, or $100 for four days, and include access to the VIP area with an open bar, sponsored cocktails, exclusive beer, wine and liquor tastings and gourmet appetizers. Guests also may purchase passes to the Red Dragon VIP Tent at the gate for $60 per day or $120 for the entire event.
A portion of the proceeds from Las Vegas Foodie Fest will benefit the Injured Police Officers Fund while the Red Dragon VIP Tent will be sponsored by Lee's Discount Liquor and a portion of proceeds will benefit the Lee's Helping Hands Foundation.
