Belly on Up to the New Cowgirl Up Cantina

The Cowgirl Up Cantina is starting to raise a ruckus on Fremont Street, at the opposite end of Binion's Gambling Hall & Hotel where the casino already features the street-side Whiskey Licker bar.

The corner cantina spot is a couple of steps from the casino's "Cowgirl Pit," where the table game dealers dress in burlesque inspired cowgirl outfits.

The cantina is embroiled in current Fremont Street controversy as the rival casino Mermaids fights a block to create their own, similar open-air bar. The building of the Cowgirl Up Cantina was grandfathered into a recent ordinance capping the creation of future alcohol points of purchase underneath the covered Fremont Street Experience.
