The Chicago Invasion Continues with Yumz Frozen Yogurt

Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt, the frozen yogurt store with 12 locations nationwide mostly in the Chicago area, opens the company's first Western United States location on Friday.

The first 30 customers to visit on Friday, May 2, at 11 a.m. will receive a free cup of frozen yogurt. On Saturday, May 3, 98.5 KLUC radio station with Chet Buchanan will broadcast live from the location from 4 to 6 p.m., with free giveaways including concert tickets to the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block.

On Sunday, May 4, Yumz will donate 10 percent of the store proceeds to the Douglas J. Green Memorial Foundation, a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization that provides comfort, support and supplies to service members and their families by sending care packages during their deployments.

The frozen yogurt location offers dishes that weigh in at 85 to 100 calories per serving in tart, regular and dairy-free sorbet. More than 55 flavors and more than 75 toppings make the rotation here.
