Giada De Laurentiis Promises an 'Italian Dim Sum Brunch'

Pint-sized Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis keeps revealing a bit more about her first restaurant, opening at The Cromwell May 21. Now expect to find an "Italian dim sum brunch" rolled around the restaurant on custom-made carts.

De Laurentiis tells Food & Wine that her grandfather, producer Dino De Laurentiis, and his love of dim sum were the inspiration behind the carts. Expect to find cinnamon rolls made from Italian cake, silver dollar-sized lemon ricotta pancakes, tiny pizzas and baked eggs with tomatoes and pancetta served in individual cocottes on the carts.

Eater National notes that De Laurentiis promised pink and gold carts roaming the restaurant with desserts as well.
