Sporting what must be the best new restaurant logo you'll see this year, husband and wife team Bernardo and Ortencia Martinez have opened the 1,795-square-foot Martinez Taco Bar at the Aliante MarketPlace alongside familiar neighbors Thrifty Ice Cream, China A Go-Go and Subway.

The family friendly concept is inspired by Southern California taco stands combined with the traditional taco style of Mexico City and Guadalajara. Their salsas are made daily, ready to be combined with your choice of marinated grilled meats including carne asada, al pastor, chorizo, pollo asado and lengua, also known as beef tongue. Plus they've added churros to the early menu.

The striking Dia de los Muertos logo design also extends to the look of restaurant interior. Opening hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
