Even more changes are added to the overhaul of the Venetian's food court. The San Gennaro Grill is receiving an estimated $150,000 worth of makeover to turn it into San Gennaro Burger. An alpine burger with Swiss and mushroom and an avocado club creation are already promised. A cheesy abbreviated SGB logo has also been threatened.

This switcheroo adds to the ongoing work previously previewed by Eater Vegas, at the other end of the food court. Newcomers Chow Baby BBQ and Café Pan will help spruce up the out-dated facilities by replacing Café Santa Lucia and the already shuttered Cocolini gelato store.

Be prepared to be see a lot of construction work at the resort this season. Already $5 million for construction alone has been allocated to create a larger opening between the Venetian and sister property the Palazzo on the mezzanine level directly outside of Barneys New York and facing the entrance to the gondola attraction. Work has already begun creating plywood corridors for guests to navigate.

And $21 million is being spent on upgrading 2,842 Venetian Tower guestrooms and the Tower's corridors on each of its 33 floors.

Also still to come, the start of work long-proposed Brazilian steakhouse next door to Sushi Samba and the unveiling of the now late Shi Fang Market pan-Asian food court destined for the Palazzo casino floor.
