Nobu Matsuhisa on what drives him — when his first U.S. restaurant burned down in Anchorage 50 days after opening. "I almost killed myself, but I didn't. It was the worst experience. It was the day of my life I have never forgotten. Every day I remember it. Nobody wants to go that far to the bottom to get back to the top. I went all the way to the very bottom, but I wake up every day and have so much appreciation for the people around me." [LVS]
