Big Ern's BBQ to Pop Up With Chick N' Fries

Big Ern's BBQ is branching out in a new direction with Chick N' Fries, a chicken strips and fries venture created for the lawn of Downtown's Container Park and in eyesight of their popular barbecue joint housed in a recycled shipping container.

The first date for this experiment is this Saturday, with no other details other than a cryptic tweet posted earlier this week.

One of the few verifiable success stories at this downtown project, Big Ern's normally only serves pulled chicken and the only potato is in their salad.

Their meat-centric menu was meant to lose a rival at the Park last month when it was announced fancy sausage server Pork & Beans was shuttering, alongside the Beatnik coffee stop and nearby mini-bar The Boozery. But as of this week, all three remain in business.
