That was fast. Apparently Arturo Moscoso, who was on board as Giada De Laurentiis' executive chef at her restaurant at The Cromwell, abruptly departed last week.
"Giada has a high level of expectation for chefs," Vegas Seven reports on the reason for Moscoso's departure.
In his place, Kurtess Mortensen, who has worked at Bouchon in the Venetian as well as at the Rio, Bally's Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas. He serves as corporate executive chef, overseeing all of the restaurants in The Quad, Flamingo Las Vegas and The Cromwell.
While Mortensen "has been involved with Giada's new project from the start" and is "charged with directly overseeing the rollout," Giada will search for a new executive chef.
