When the gigantic 400-acre Downtown Summerlin mall complex opens Oct. 9, it will present a combination of retail, entertainment and dining. The ROC Resto-Lounge headed to the mall aims to do the exact same thing, but all under one roof. A store, nightclub, cocktail lounge, coffee shop and restaurant in one, they hope to lure in different types of customers as the day progresses into night and with a second-floor view looking out to the Strip.

Formerly named Republic of Couture, ROC will be opening their first experiment of this kind at the Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs, Fla., later this summer and those plans lead the way at hinting at what to expect in Las Vegas when they bring their ambition of serving "first class luxury at accessible prices"

The Florida model explains the concept can quickly turn from "family-friendly to sophisticated club within a single unique environment."

Four logos map out the experience. Savor promises a "premium restaurant" with "reasonable pricing and superior servic " and affordable lunch specials. In Florida dish prices are estimated between $4 to $25.

Sip, is the cocktail lounge offering mixologist-created cocktails, plus wine, beer and in Florida, late-night bottle service ranging in price from $100 to $250.

During the the day, a different style of lounging and drinking comes into force, at The ROC Cafe, a coffee shop open early for mall visitors.

As for retail, Strut promises to stock dozens of known and diverse brands ranging from Badgley Mischka, Converse, L.A.M.B, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors Bags to Versace. An innovative approach to selling includes the latest technology, explaining "use your ROC-pad tablet to order an outfit you see on a model during one of our regular fashion shows and have it delivered to your table. Or, if you prefer, you can purchase directly in the store." Despite the well-known brands, ROC surprisingly estimates the price range will fall between two pricepoints of $10 to $40 and $70 to $200.

And Groove is the emblem for the nightlife scene featuring "high-profile DJs and live entertainment will appear on the ROC stage."

As no formal announcement of this project can confirm all the elements of the ROC Resto-Lounge's enthusiastic pitch, it remains to be seen how many of these ideas become a permanent part of the Las Vegas outpost. But the nightclub and retail store are confirmed for the October launch. The Coral Springs location is aiming to be open 18 hours a day.
