It took thousands of nationwide ballots, the input of the entire Eater editorial team and conversations with their peers, but the 2014 class of Eater Young Guns has finally been whittled down to 50 semi-finalists.
The list aims to identify the most promising up-and-coming talent in the restaurant industry, whether they're working as chefs or line cooks, wine and cocktail pros, restaurateurs or maître d's. All are under the age of 30 or in the business for less than five years. Also key, is they must show extraordinary promise..
In late June the list will be pared down to the final Young Guns Class of 2014.
