Commissary's New Tequila Collection; Desnudo Dinner

DOWNTOWN GRAND — Now you have a new place to imbibe in a massive collection of tequilas. Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, The Commissary Kitchen by Richard Sandoval reveals more than 100. Among the finds, Don Julio Patron Real 1942, El Mojito Mezcal and Patron Anejo Grandiose as well as every type of Patron including Blanco, Anejo and Reprezado. Other newbies include a new line of infused tequilas with flavors including jalapeño, tropical and coconut. Prices range from $7 to $95 a shot. [EaterWire]

WESTSIDE — Desnudo Tacos chef Christian Dolias will be preparing a six-course prix fixe menu inspired by the various regions of Mexico on May 18. CALIFORNIA HOTEL — The 17th Annual Lei Day Polynesian Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aside from musicians, dancers, artists and craftsmen there will be food and beverage vendors dishing out the very best of Hawaii. Look for kalua pig, lau lau, poi, beef teriyaki sticks and hot malasadas.
