Listed for months as a future tenant, new plywood confirms an Eater Vegas report of the next neighbor for SushiSamba at the Grand Canal Shoppes, on the level above the Palazzo casino floor.
Nelore Brazilian Steakhouse will take over the 11,063 square feet of empty room, almost 500 square feet smaller than the Japanese/Brazilian fusion restaurant next door. The property is currently completely vacant, with windows facing the rear of the Wynn resort across the way, filling the space with light.
Perhaps coincidentally, Nelore shares the same name as a churrascarria chain with branches in Houston, Texas, and Orlando, Fla., that serves all you can eat, table-side served cuts of meat.
The name Nelore refers to the beef cattle breed, distinctive for its large hump on the shoulder and neck and most commonly found in Brazil.
No completion timetable has been offered by General Growth Properties, managers of the mall.
