HARD ROCK HOTEL — Culinary Dropout throws a five-course craft beer pairing dinner with brews from Las Vegas' Joseph James Brewery on Thursday, May 8, at 7 p.m. Executive chef Erik Syhre prepared the dinner that includes Far'mani Sopressatta with pickled spring vegetables, peach mostarda and pretzel crouton paired with Joseph James Fox Tail. The first course includes artichoke hearts, truffled crescenza cheese, watercress with preserved lemon paired with Joseph James Citra Rye. For the second course, look for beer-battered fish and chips with a side of coleslaw and tartar sauce paired with Joseph James American Lager. Next comes 36-hour pork ribs with jalapeño, molasses and corn bread paired with Joseph James Double Red Imperial Stout. MANDARIN ORIENTAL — Mandarin Bar now has live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings that includes Top 40 hits and live contemporary jazz.
