Mariscos El Puerto to Offer Corrida With Their Calamar

Mariscos El Puerto is aiming to serve up some authentic Mexican seafood and equally authentic entertainment while you eat.

Replacing the former Thai Grill, the 2,632-square-foot corner lot, with room on the patio for 18, will serve up a menu that is inspired by dishes offered in homes and restaurant in Baja, Calif., and the Northern Pacific Coast region of Mexico.

While there is no dance floor, the weekend entertainment will include Ranchera, which they describe as "usually sung by one performer with guitar," Corrida "narrative poetry, songs of ballads" and Mariachi.

Dishes already offered include calamar, uachiles, almejas and ostiones preparados, alongside enchiladas, flautas, tacos and chicken fingers for kids.

The restaurant is in soft-open mode while they await a beer and wine license expected to be approved soon.
