After years of speculation, DW Bistro is finally ready to expand to a second location. Expect the favorite Jamaican and New Mexican restaurant from Dalton Wilson and Bryce Krausman to go into the once-mothballed Gramercy a mere half-mile from the original. The duo are changing this spot up a bit, dubbing it DW Market, inspired by Dean & DeLuca.
The restaurant and market will feature grab-and-go dishes along with a counter for ordering from an open kitchen in an 8,000-square-foot space on the ground floor of Building 2.
While the space will host the catering business as well, the front will include syrup and bloody Mary mix from DW as well as "artisanal finds," a bakery with scones and pastries seven days a week and a flower shop. Krausman tells Vegas Rated that he plans to offer meats, cheeses and smaller loaves of bread for single people in the space the will be decked out in DW orange.
In 2012, the two considered opening a second location in the former Andre's space in Downtown Vegas. Now Tony Hsieh and his Downtown Project own the building.
Wilson and Krausman say they plan to open in October or November.
