Beauty Bar Owner Says Downtown Competition Is Tough

Paul Devitt has had Beauty Bar on the market for more than a year now, and while he may have a buyer on the line, he thinks the bar scene in Downtown Vegas has become overcrowded. "I have nothing against Tony (Hsieh)… But you can't open 25 places for just 400 to 4,000 people who come down on a regular basis, you know? He can afford to lose a thousand dollars a week for the time being in order to try and build something, while I just can't. There are too many places now, in my opinion, with more places on the horizon. It just makes the competition tougher," he tells DTLV.
