Two Imminent Health Hazards Shut Down Nanay Gloria's

Nanay Gloria's hasn't had a lot of luck with the Southern Nevada Health District lately. The Filipino restaurant at 5980 Spring Mountain Road was shut down by SNHD for the second time this year after a routine inspection found 38 demerits and an imminent health hazard.

On June 13, SNHD inspectors returned to the restaurant to find no potable or hot water and gross, unsanitary conditions including a pest infestation. Both were cause for an automatic closure.

Inspectors also found staff wasn't washing their hands, food was unprotected from potential contamination and more.

Back in April, SNHD issued 39 demerits to the restaurant, which was upgraded to an A grade after a re-inspection in May.

The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
