Food truck El Buen Taco was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after two imminent health hazards were discovered on June 18.
SNHD inspectors found no potable or hot water and gross insanitary conditions including a pest infestation during the routine inspection. Both called for the immediate closure of the restaurant.
Other demerits included an inadequate number of hand washing stations and food unprotected from potential contamination during the 30 demerit inspection.
Previous inspections dating back to 2010 showed A and B grades.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
