Pearl, the traditional Chinese cuisine with hints of Canton and Shanghai provinces, is temporarily shuttered for a renovation at the MGM Grand. The restaurant shut down June 5 and plans to start serving again on July 24. No permits suggest what type of renovations are in store.
Pearl specializes in four Chinese cooking methods: steamed, braised, baked and fried. Chef Kai-Wa Yau has been with the restaurant since it opened in 2001.
