Caesars Entertainment says it's proposing a new casino in Woodbury, N.Y., 50 miles from New York City in the Hudson Valley that would include six restaurants. Some of the proposed new concepts include fine dining and a "Streets of New York food hall concept featuring cuisine from local restaurateurs." Gordon Ramsay and Nobu Matsuhisa are two of the chefs interested in expanding there. Each have restaurants with Caesars Entertainment here in Vegas.

Just today, "Caesars Acquisition Company, through its subsidiary, Caesars Growth Partners, submitted its application to the New York State Gaming Facility Location Board for a gaming license."

Last week, Caesars announced that it was closing its Mardi Gras-themed Showboat in Atlantic City on Aug. 31.
