Second time's a charm. Headed into The Linq is Off The Strip from the local owners of a Italian-American bistro and a sports bar and gaming-inspired tavern of the same name. Originally part of the first wave of Linq tenants announced in October 2012 and fronted by former N9NE Group partner Andrew Belmonti, rumors of money issues preceded the project being quietly dropped from the future restaurant roster.
But after a few weeks of new rumors, it can be confirmed to be back. Original plans called for the 10,947-square-foot space to be slotted in between the outdoor bar addition to O'Shea's and the Goorin Bros. hat shop and across from the Kitson clothing store. An estimated $900,000 construction budget was assigned to the build.
Back in 2012, it was named Off the Strip Bistro and planned to feature steaks, pastas, chicken and fish dishes along with traditional American comfort food. Current paperwork has dropped the "Bistro" part of the name. Their two original locations operate in Spring Valley and the corner of Southern Highlands Parkway and West Cactus Avenue, where the family-run enterprise serves local favorites like their beef Wellington and the generous sized "Really Trashy "Garbage" Salad." Construction is readying to start on The Linq site.
