Things seem grim at the Downtown Grand, the hotel that opened in November in the former Lady Luck. It seems many of the food and beverage outlets should be on a deathwatch. Vital Vegas reports that the Spread Deli next to the tiny sports book closed on Monday and the shutter of Red Mansion is imminent.
Vital Vegas editor Scott Roeben, who by day is the interactive marketing manager for the Fremont Street Experience, says the Asian restaurant "will close within a week" although "much of the menu will still be available at the hotel's Stewart + Ogden restaurant."
Red Mansion already sliced it hours to 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and from noon to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Do note that locals get a "free side of dim sum with every purchase."

Mob Bar, which relocated inside the resort, also slashed its hours to Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Roeben says its shutter could be coming as well.
Commissary [Photo: Bradley Martin]
Commissary After Dark, the nightlife experience, never did open, while the Commissary from Richard Sandoval is only open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at least according to the chalkboard in front of the restaurant.
