Japanese Cuisine by Omae returns to service today with its three ultra-exclusive lunch seatings with a three-course meal for only $20 per person. Chef Takeshi Omae, whose Omae XEX in Tokyo received Michelin stars twice, is back from a business trip to Japan and ready to serve up new dishes including chicken ramen and Wagyu beef burger.
For now, the 12-seat restaurant is only open for a three-course lunch with three seatings at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., so reservations are mandatory. You can make reservations here (11:30 a.m. is already booked solid today). The restaurant has two tables for four and two tables for two. That's it.
Still to come, Omae's much-anticipated evening kaiseki experience with multiple courses, expected to launch Sept. 1 once the restaurant has a liquor license.
