They've been operating for a few weeks, but Restaurante Guadalajara will be hosting a grand opening celebration on July 19 at 1 p.m. to officially unveil their authentic Mexican menu.

Dishes already previewed include chile rellenos, "Chimichanga de Pollo o Carne decenrada," camarones agua chile, soups like "caldo 7 mares" and "meats served in a traditional Molcajete made out of lava rock."

Located in the the former Granny's Kitchen soul food restaurant, during the Grand Opening there will be giveaways of T-shirts and soccer balls and if your buy the specialty dish "carnes en su jugo," their Guadalajara-style meat au jus, you will receive a free Jarritos soda.
