Here's a little more information on Alex Stratta's new steakhouse going in the Gramercy this fall. Apparently the former chef of Alex and Stratta at Wynn Las Vegas partnered with DIXI Foods International Inc. for Alex Stratta Italian Steakhouse, what they're describing as "a fine-dining establishment."
Alex Stratta Italian Steakhouse will be a 5,300-square-foot restaurant on the northwest corner of the Gramercy. Expect a separate bar and live entertainment as well as a glass-enclosed patio with Strip views. Stratta plans to serve fresh pasta and flatbreads made in a wood-burning oven, as well as a shellfish, a raw bar and steaks.
"The most exciting and interesting thing about putting our first Alex Stratta Italian Steakhouse at the Gramercy Is that it fits with our goal to create a restaurant in a new category for dining in an area of Las Vegas currently underserved," Stratta says in a press release. "Our restaurant will exemplify our commitment to personalized service and new and exciting menus that are innovative and approachable. We are looking forward to participating in the continued progress and awareness for our 'off the Strip' options with a focus on quality and consistency marked by a true sense of genuine hospitality."
DIXI says this is the first of several "fine dining and fast casual restaurant concepts DIXI intends to open and operate with celebrity chef Alex Stratta." Not only are two to three other restaurants planned, but some of those new concepts will be expanded.
Stratta landed the title vice president of new concept development for KCI Investments LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of DIXI. That company runs 12 franchised Capriotti's Sandwich Shops here in Las Vegas as well as in the Dallas and Fort Worth area as well as Southern California. The company also has several Papa John's locations in the works.
