Hussong's Cantina Has PB&J and Cotton Candy Margaritas

MANDALAY PLACE — Hussong's Cantina just launched a new hand-shaken specialty margarita menu. The list includes 10 unique takes on the staple libation, which as legend has it, originated at the landmark original Hussong's in Ensenada, Mexico. The array includes everything from exotic fruit flavors to peanut butter to cotton candy. Highlights include the Carnaval de Rio Rita with passion fruit and pineapple and made with Diosa Mango tequila, Tanteo Tropical tequila and Almeca Blanco tequila with a splash of fresh lime juice and the Mangonero, made with muddled habanero, fresh mango chunks, lime juice and Jose Cuervo Tradicional tequila. Other new additions include the Cotton Candy Rita, made tableside, and the PB&J, featuring Sauza Reposado tequila with crème de cassis, muddled blackberries, a peanut butter rim and Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Exotic fruit flavors are explored in the Tamarindo Lindo, with tamarind, orange and Hussong's Resposado tequila, and the Li Hing Mui as the traditional plum powder is mixed with Mango Aloe Vera juice, lime juice and Almeca Blanco tequila.
