Rebel Republic to Put the Pub into UNLV Spirit

There will be no mistaking the team loyalty at the forthcoming Rebel Republic gastropub and sports bar. Located in a former Bounty Hunter at the Spanish Oaks Shopping Center, the corner, 6,445-square-foot space was once meant to evolve into a 24-hour bar called The Liberty Tavern, but after a year of inactivity this new UNLV-influenced project is on a fast track to open soon.

In addition to being proudly Rebel in spirit, the decor has taken a rustic approach to the decor. Weathered metals, tufted button banquettes, wood panel walls and brushed chromes give the space a gastropub feel.

Fifty-two taps of beer have been installed, a burger-centric menu is ready and handcrafted cocktails are promised. Fifteen gaming machines will be fitted into the the wood paneled bar counter-tops. With no opening date yet revealed, the owners only ask for future patrons to "get ready."
