Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich's B&B Ristorante at the Venetian kicks off summer with a series of dinners offering up taste of classic dishes from Batali's wheelhouse. Dinners will take place each Thursday from July 10 to Sept. 11 and will be kept small so that each diner can meet the chefs and producers featured.

The first dinner on Thursday, July 10, at 7 p.m. will highlight the dishes that wowed critics and New Yorkers when Batali opened Babbo in 1998. Look for dishes such as bucatini with octopus all'arrabbiata and lamb tartare with mint crostini and quail egg, paired with 1998 wines to celebrate the year of Babbo's opening. Guests will meet Jason Neve, Batali's protégé and Las Vegas' culinary director for B&B Hospitality Group.

Each subsequent dinner will be based on a different theme, highlighting Batali's famed flavors as well as local ingredients and personalities. Upcoming themes include Batali's wining Iron Chef battle: cobia; the produce of Overton, Nevada's Quail Hollow Farm, with an appearance by the farmers to discuss sustainable agriculture in the desert; and the classic Stanley Tucci film, Big Night.
