Local media has finally caught up with Eater Vegas coverage of Chicago Chinatown restaurant legend Tony Hu headed to the Palms. As first reported in April, chef Hu will be taking over the shuttered Little Buddha space.

Now, Las Vegas Advisor columnist Bob Dancer reports Lao Sze Chuan will open "August 1" and corroborating another Eater Vegas reveal, Dancer confirms Fortunes Chinese restaurant located at the back of the popular 24 Seven Café will shutter "within a week."

Job descriptions for Lao Sze Chuan ask for previous experience in preparing Mandarin and Cantonese dishes, hinting at an expansion of the famed and authentic Szechuan flavors of Hu's award winning Chicago original.
