Very soon you'll get to know Brian Malarkey, the chef behind Searsucker in San Diego. The former mentor on ABC's The Taste, a past Top Chef finalist and more is planning to bring his American concept to Las Vegas.
In January, Hakkasan Group bought out Enlightened Hospitality Group, and part of that new union includes opening more of Malarkey's restaurants nationwide.
"We are thrilled to introduce this concept and others featuring Brian's inventive cuisine to new cities across the country," says Nick McCabe, president of Hakkasan Group, in a press release.
Hakkasan is keeping tight-lipped about where Malarkey might land, and so far the $38 million Pure Nightclub renovation at Caesars Palace is the only makeover on the books. Note that Pure, while going with a bigger footprint, doesn't plan to have a kitchen, at least according to submitted permits.
