Get Your First Look Inside The Bunkhouse Saloon

The Bunkhouse Saloon opens Aug. 25 with Built to Spill headlining. The bar, which originally opened in 1953, was bought out by the Downtown Project last year and shuttered for a remodel that was supposed to have it reopened in six weeks.

Some of the renovations here include a new ceiling and exterior wall, as well as extending the length of the building to accommodate a new top of the line kitchen, a new stage and a Meyer Sound System. The bar has a new entrance on the north side of the building for access from Fremont Street. Outdoor seating in the backyard includes a pick-up window for food and beverage service.

A new menu comes with the remodel. Look for four sloppy Joe choices in beef, pork, turkey or vegetarian, short rib sandwiches, fried pickles and deviled eggs.

Bands such as The Breeders and Bob Mould are already on the agenda to perform. For tickets, head here.

The Bunkhouse Saloon will be open Sundays through Thursdays from 5 p.m. to midnight, and Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
