Slowly the pieces are coming together for the restaurants coming to Downtown Summerlin. Now in addition to Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill and a third restaurant from Elizabeth Blau and Kim Canteenwalla comes word that MTO Café will open a second location of the dining destination at the new shopping center this fall. The restaurant already sits downtown, serving breakfast, lunch and brunch.
Expect this second location to look a lot like the downtown spot with an industrial feel. At 2,500 square feet, the restaurant plans to have four distinct dining areas, including the dining room, counter and a community table made from wood from the owner's family farm in Kentucky as well as an 800-square-foot outdoor patio.
Chef Johnny Church plans to expand the menu here to include dinner as well as favorites such as the lemon poppy seed pancakes with blueberry-ginger compote, chicken in a waffle, the Fat Elvis sandwich with French toast, bacon, banana, peanut butter, strawberries and Nutella and The Hang Over burger with bacon, fried egg, Tillamook Cheddar, lettuce and special sauce.
MTO Café at Downtown Summerlin will be open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The mall opens Oct. 9.
