DIXI Foods International Inc. and Alex Stratta are making good on their promise to open multiple restaurants in Las Vegas. The company behind Stratta's new restaurant coming to the Gramercy plans to acquire Elements Kitchen & Martini Bar, the martini lounge and restaurant at Rainbow Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue.
Stratta will oversee Elements and plans to enhance the menu while "maintaining the price and feel of a neighborhood bar and restaurant" that offers more than 500 martini cocktails. It may even be called "Elements an Alex Stratta Casual Restaurant."
Last month, DIXI promised to open two to three additional restaurant and food-service concepts within the next year.
Stratta, who had his Michelin-starred Alex and Stratta at Wynn Las Vegas and was most recently working with Marche Bacchus to develop menus, is the vice president of new concept development for DIXI. He also plans to open Alex Stratta Italian Steakhouse this fall at the Gramercy.
DIXI also operates 13 franchised Capriotti's Sandwich Shops in Clark County, Dallas/Fort Worth and four counties in Southern California and plans to open as many as 99 in Dallas/Fort Worth and Southern California. The company also owns the rights to develop Papa John's, 24 in total, between Fresno and Sacramento.
Just in April, Elements was up for sale for $469,000.
