Delano Las Vegas
Address: 3940 Las Vegas Blvd. S.
Phone: 702-632-7888
Status: Officially open today
Mandalay Bay's THEhotel is now officially gone, replaced by Delano, the South Beach import with Mojave Desert touches throughout. With it comes a slew of new restaurants and lounges as well as changes on the horizon.
First up is 3940 Coffee + Tea, open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Filled with mid-century modern furniture, sofas and communal seating, this restaurant gets its name from the address of Delano. Artisanal teas, freshly squeezed juices and gourmet coffees as well as dishes such as Nutella and raspberry crepes make the menu here.
Della's Kitchen, open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., serves breakfast and lunch. The lobby restaurant uses local and regional ingredients, some from Delano Las Vegas' own greenhouse. Industrial materials deck out this restaurant with a farmhouse feel.
Alain Ducasse's miX remains, at least for now. The 64th floor restaurant will close soon to become Rivea, a restaurant serving French and Italian cuisine inspired by the food markets of Italy and Provence.
Franklin, open daily from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., sits in the lobby and serves rare, premium liquors on a cocktail-centric drink menu. More than two dozen craft beers by the bottle and a selection of wines-by-the-glass exclusive to Franklin make up the beverage menu. Small bites and appetizers can also be found here.
While Ducasse's miX Lounge also remains, it "will take on a new personality in 2015."
