Berwick's Urban Lounge has debuted in downtown Henderson, offering a full menu, gambling and a live entertainment scene they hope will energize this neglected section of the city.
First revealed back in July, the name was inspired from letters in the last names of the lounge's two business partners, Bill Berdie and Jimmy Wike. Both have considerable gaming industry experience, so it makes sense Berwick's features 15 video gaming machines.
Located on the ground floor of the Pinnacle Building on Water Street, the lounge has already attracted attention as a possible springboard for new entrepreneurs to take a second look at Henderson.
Monthly "Rall-E meetings" for local and prospective business owners to meet and network have already been scheduled in the restaurant by the The City of Henderson Economic Development Division. For a more relaxed atmosphere, Berwick's has introduced a happy hour beginning at 3 p.m. and are introducing a regular roster of local live acts.
