Wine Amplified Pumps Out Train and Blink-182

The wine festival features more than 150 wines from 60 wineries next month.

As if your October isn’t packed enough with events, along comes the Wine Amplified Festival Oct. 10-11, bringing wine and music from headliners Train and Blink-182. Rock ‘n Roll Wine and MGM Resorts International bring this event to the 15-acre MGM Resorts Village, located on Las Vegas Boulevard across from the Luxor.

First up, the music, which includes New Beat Fund, Magic Giant, Van Lady Love, Pet Tigers, Avalon Landing, The Dirty Hooks, Almost Normal, Jordan Mitchell, Ryan White Mahoney and The Perks. The stage here is being created with 125 tons of sand, palm trees and an enormous waterslide. Friday’s lineup on the main stage will include headliner Train, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Better than Ezra, Of Verona and Ayron Jones & The Way while Saturday’s main stage lineup includes headliner Blink-182, as well as Violent Femmes, Magic!, The Mowgli’s, and Mystic Roots Band.

On the wine front, find The Barrel, framed along two sides by a 520-foot The Wine Trail, shaped like a wine glass and lined with more than 40 wineries. Southern Wine & Spirits will also have the Libation Lounge with specialty cocktails, tequila tastings, margaritas and more.

At The Barrel the 30 wineries and 10 craft beer suites are spread around a massive 160-foot wine barrel. In all, more than 150 wines from 60 wineries will be poured at the event. Look for Caymus, Justin, Ferrari-Carano, Francis Coppola and Chateau Ste. Michelle among the wineries.

Also on tap Food Truck Blvd with more than 12 top gourmet food trucks, a Craft Beer Garden featuring 25 craft beers, a Bubbles Bar, Reserve Row, Sip & Sound Lounge, and Barrel Room/Wine Cave all presented by Southern Wine & Spirits.

General admission tickets are $69 per day and $129 for a two-day pass. VIP tickets are $159 per day and $299 for a two-day pass. VIP tickets also include access to a premium VIP stage viewing area, complimentary snacks and sodas, hand-selected VIP wines available for purchase, and complimentary wine happy hours from 4to 6 p.m. each day. To buy tickets or find more information, head here.
