LAS VEGAS — Chefs such as Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken chime in on how they would change the world through food. Shirley Chung, the former Top Chef contestant who is opening Twenty Eight Modern Chinese next month in Orange County, says "I would teach kids that our food is not from the supermarket, we grow it."

THE STRIP — Wahlburgers, the burger restaurant from celebrity brothers Mark, Donnie and Eric Wahlberg, now says three of their Boston-based franchises are heading to Vegas. While reticent to say exactly where, the three are in Vegas this weekend to film an episode of their A&E show Wahlburgers while "looking" for a space.

DOWNTOWN — Heading to the food and music festival Life Is Beautiful next month? Find out 17 things you need to know about the food and beverage options, including pairings, spicy dishes, entire turkey legs, 57 cocktail options and more.

JAKARTA — Akira Back is about to open his second Yellowtail in LA next month. Take a look inside his eponymous restaurant that just opened in Jakarta. Don’t be surprised if the Japanese concept with Korean touches comes Stateside soon.

TIVOLI VILLAGE — Sam Marvin, formerly of Louie Bottega fame, shares some of his favorite places to dine off-Strip. The chef has Echo & Rig, complete with a butcher shop, at the westside shopping center. He also plans to open five boutiques in the Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s Las Vegas, as well as Pizza Cirque with 50 styles of pizza and 500 beers on tap.
