Yo Cuz, the Martorano's Menu at Paris Has an Attitude

Martorano's has opened at Paris Las Vegas and the menu is not short of South Philly attitude.

Steve Martorano, the self-described Italian American "cook," not "chef," has opened his second Vegas location at Paris Las Vegas. Hot on the heels of his recent Atlantic City restaurant debut at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City, Martorano has brought a very similar black and white interior and menu from the East Coast. Combined with familiar favorites from his off-Strip Rio location, at Paris, the usual "Steve's Specialties" are now named the fancier, "Martorano Specialties." To his credit, the price point remains almost the same following the expansion and even cheaper in a number of instances.

Billed as an entertainment destination, the restaurant features movies on multiple TVs and from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m the "party begins," with a DJ pumping out "Classic R&B and Disco to today’s Hip-Hop." Martorano claims this party concept within a restaurant dates with him all the way back to 1983.

The burly owner warns right on the top of the menu, "we are not for everyone nor have we claimed to be. If you get 'IT' you will have the time of your life, if you don’t we’re just not for you." And with movie classics like Casino, The Godfather and Goodfellas running on the TVs, the menu also forewarns to "keep in mind the movie content may be R-rated and contain scenes not suitable for children under the age of 18."

Plus, he doesn't want you to be surprised if the after-10 p.m. scene gets a little rambunctious. If looking for a quieter mood, or "if you want to have a business meeting or family dinner join us between 6pm and 10pm when you can listen to classics from Sinatra to John Coltrane."

But Martorano saves the best for last. Right at the bottom of the new menu, he signs off, "no substitutions this is the way I cook," before closing out in all-red text, "don't break my balls!!"
