RED ROCK RESORT — Mercadito kicks off its Tacos for Strength campaign beginning Oct. 1. Each year chef and partner Patricio Sandoval invites a variety of chefs to “think outside the tortilla” and create tacos to support Share Our Strength. Chicago’s Jason Vincent, formerly of Nightwood, has the taco in October, Philadelphia’s Kevin Sbraga of Sbraga in November and Paul Virant of Perennial Virant in Chicago and Vie in Western Springs, Ill., in December. Tacos for Strength selections are available for dinner (four per order) for $17.50 or for lunch (three per order) for $13.50. Five percent of proceeds benefit Share Our Strength. [EaterWire]
STATION CASINOS — Look for pink pastries at the Grand Cafes and Café Fiesta in October. The pink pastries range in price beginning at $1.99 per item on up. [EaterWire]
